This Centers/Work Stations Planning Sheet is used to organize individual students work stations each day. Within their group, the students follow a chart that shows which work station their group will begin with that day. The work stations on the chart correspond with the 4 first work stations in each row on the planning sheet. Each student has their own planning sheet. Once the first work station is completed, the students move on to the next two work stations, drawing an X in each box as they complete it. At the end of each school day, I check the students' work stations and place a RED X in the corner if they completed the work station (RED = Stop) or a GREEN circle in the corner if they did not complete it to my satisfaction (GREEN = Go back and fix). The next day, the pictures (that correspond with the planning sheet) on the chart are rotated and the students move on to the next work station.
Along with this document I use a Centers/Work Stations Objectives File...Also available on my site. The Objectives file contains additional work stations that I may use throughout the year. I simply copy and paste them into the planning sheet instead of having to create the activities for the planning sheet every time I change work stations. You can use the pictures/designs that I have already created or add your own!
Note...I also start off with only 2 work stations per day, then increase to 3 usually around November or December when the children are more familiar with the routine and complete the first 2 work stations quicker.
