This game is a component of a unit plan on budgetary policy, comparative government and economics, and current events. It is centered around a guided reading of the book Boomerang by Michael Lewis. (appropriate for high school students: mild language, complex topics)
This game is meant to show how central banks work, as well as illustrate the concepts of inflation, fiat money, commodity based money, monetary policy, and basic economics. (for more information on this unit, see lovgov.weebly.com)
The instructions are included; game pieces are NOT. I bought items off of etsy.com and oriental traders; those pieces cost around $40 or so.
