Product Description
Practice the central tendencies with your students! This pack includes a poster for each of the central tendencies: mean, median, mode, range, and outlier. There is a class worksheet for each central tendency, so that your students can practice what they have learned! After the students have learned and practiced the central tendencies, use the five fun Science topics to master them!

*Download the PREVIEW to see inside the pack!*

The topics of the Science units are: Environment, Weather, Archaeology, Outer Space, and Chemistry. These topics are used in an interesting and entertaining way (for example, the amount of aliens on the different planets!) so that the students remain engaged by your lesson. For each Science topic, there is an introduction sheet, a chart to use as a whole group, a worksheet, and Common Core discussion questions (reflecting on the central tendencies). The last item included in this packet is a set of data cards that you can use as a whole group, a t a center, or at a small group. You can choose from data sets that will result in decimal answers for mean, or data sets that will result in whole numbers for the mean (or use them all!).

Integrating these fun Science topics with your central tendencies unit in Math is a great way to engage your students and have FUN! I mean, who else will look at a chemical recipe for creating something called a "Sneezer"?!

Have fun!
