This excellent resource on Cesar Chavez is a great way to have students analyze a primary source and compare Chavez to Martin Luther King, jr.!
The download includes a one and a half page primary source excerpt of a famous speech Chavez gave in which he talked about the lessons he learned from Martin Luther King.
Following the primary source speech is a set of analysis questions designed for students to think critically about both Chavez and King. An answer key for this is provided for your convenience.
An editable Google Docs version of the activity is also included if you are in a paperless class or prefer the digital format.
Finally, there is also an interactive notebook activity in which students compare Chavez and King. A completed sample picture is included for you as well.
This resource can also be download along with many more as part of this Civil Rights Movement Resource Bundle
