Understanding Psychology McGraw-Hill/Glencoe
Chapter 2 Psychological Research Methods & Statistics
Section 1 What is Research?
This PowerPoint matches the chapter and section in the Understanding Psychology McGraw-Hill/Glencoe textbook. The PowerPoint text is from Glencoe, however it has been made made user friendly and pictures/photographs added to each slide to illustrate the concepts. It is an almost a word-for-word account of the reading from the section and provides a comprehensive lesson on the textbook's section.
Illustrations and if applicable, videos are added at the end as a summary. The visuals give students examples of what is read in the section, making it more memorable and understandable.
Some PowerPoints also include a Common Core Literacy Strategy "Close Reading of a Primary Source" slide as an activity at the end. You may delete that slide if you don't wish to use it, or if you wish to use the slide, you can purchase the accompanying primary source worksheet for that slide in my store under the category "Common Core - Psychology"
Includes slide transitions and line by line animations as you present and discuss each line of text.
There is room on the bottom of the first and last slide to add your own "warm up" "due today" and other assignments.
Matches the 9th-10th grade textbook for McGraw Hill/Glencoe, but can be used for 7th-12th grade if not following a specific text.
NOTE: The thumbnail pictures are not necessarily in the order you will find in the presentation. They are just the best examples to give you an idea of what's in the powerpoint.
