Comprehension Corner focuses primarily on using Read-Alouds as an effective way to increase student comprehension. Focusing on a specific character in a read aloud story is especially effective, just in a more specific way. This can be done with any story and with the primary character, or with a secondary character.
Here is a wonderful comprehension tool to use while reading the book, THE CHALKBOX KID.
Teaching comprehension is fun for the teacher and engaging for the students when you use the Comprehension Corner Read-Aloud process.
