This is part of the materials needed for a changeable seating chart that can be changed during class easily.
The first page if a picture of rug in my class room. The other pages are pictures of the shapes on that rug and color words. There are also some number words in case you need them.
Print what you you need on card stock and then use markers to colors the shapes and color words next laminate each piece. Next buy a thick poster board - the kind that stands up alone. Then tape each piece on there so it looks like your rug. Mine has the colors words at the top ( in order like rug) with the correct shapes in the correct order under them. Next cover the whole poster in contact paper. Finally put a piece of Velcro on the places the students set and a another piece on a tag with their name/picture. I have the seating chart at the board all the time and when students need to be moved it is easy and I don't forget that I moved them. It sets behind an easel as not to be in the way. Also I will able to use it for several school years by making this way. I also set it out each morning so the students can see where to set and I can redirect them by point at it. They look at books after breakfast.
