Product Description
A stand-alone unit complete with California State Curriculum Learning Outcomes, reading list, web sites, detailed lesson plans, evaluation rubric.
Change is perhaps the one constant in the study of history. Understanding change and how to deal with its’ impact is a critical skill that today’s students need to cope with life in the 21st Century. The forces of change are often found in the conflicts and contradictions that are an integral part of our country’s past. This unit will ask students to examine the difficulties and the strengths of living in a nation of immigrants. Students will explore the obstacles and the promises of diversity. Students will practice using the examples of history to bring meaning to the world they are presently living in.
