Use this two-page worksheet to give your students practice with the changes in states of matter. This worksheet has questions about melting, freezing, vaporization, condensation, and sublimation. It focuses mainly on examples, particle movement, and the causes of changes in states of matter.
There are three sections in this worksheet. The first section has students identify the change in state in each example. The second section requires students to draw the particles either before or after a change in state. The third section has students explain their answers in sentences.
The worksheet can be assigned in class or as homework. Students can complete the whole worksheet or complete one side of their choice. Alternatively, you can use this worksheet as an assessment. A complete answer key is included.
