Let's explore changing shadows due to Earth's rotation with a fun outdoor investigation!

Students will build a structure and record the changes to its shadow throughout the day. The following day, students will record and graph data then write a claim with evidence and reasoning.


The lab includes teacher directions, a student recording page, and a sample completed lab sheet.


Be sure to complete the teacher prep the day before using this activity!
