This character activity should be completed at the end of a unit on Arthur Miller's, "The Crucible".
Students will be ranking each of the play's 10 major characters in order from who they believe to be the "most righteous" to the "least righteous". They will need to support each choice with evidence or events from the play. This activity works well if completed first individually by each students. Students should then bring their individual work together in a group of 3 or 4 & engage in discussion to come to a group consensus.
