New lessons for Middle and High School students always ignite a bonfire of teaching and learning enthusiasm. "Comprehension and Writing Activities: Falling Into Character Analysis" offers three more character analysis lessons that you can add to your Teaching Ideas Repertoires.
Three handouts - "Island Odyssey," Fleshing Out Character," and "It's a Halloween Party" offer students opportunities to reveal their comprehension of the characters they are studying by analyzing them while writing and speaking.
Teachers may require students to complete the work individually or in small groups. As with all of my activities, the students should share their responses during whole class discussions.
Although "Island Odyssey" is similar to the "Island Survivor Guide" that I offer as a part of my "Writing: What If? Writing Prompts" product (http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Writing-What-If-3-Writing-Prompts-1427588), "Island Odyssey" asks students to analyze characters, not themselves.
Don't plan during your personal hours- Download.
Give yourself the gift of time with these ready for class lessons.
