Product Description
This graphic organizer helps students re-examine the motivations of characters within a piece of literature where a tragedy has occurred or where there is some element of guilt leading to the final outcome. It is a great way to encourage students to cite textual evidence, whether drawing from drama, fiction, or poetry. Finished products make great classroom displays, encourage student creativity, and engage students in the literature—either as an investigating character in the story, or a critic outside the story. This is also a great group activity. This graphic organizer is designed with some of the following pieces of literature in mind…

Romeo and Juliet
Any of Shakespeare’s Tragedies (Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, Macbeth)
The Crucible
Death of a Salesman
Monster
The Odyssey
Lord of the Flies
To Kill A Mockingbird
