Description

Grades 3-5 Character Analysis

Packet Includes:

Character Analysis Chart: Main Character

Character Analysis Chart: Supporting Character of Your Choice
Provide students with these charts as they read the assigned book. Instruct students to fill in details as they read along or after each chapter. As they progress through the book, they will continue to add more and more details about each character.

Cast of Characters Chart
Provide students with this chart when they have completed half to two-thirds of the book. The key idea is to help them see the development of the main character and the supporting characters.

Main Character 360 Point of View Analysis
Provide students with this chart at the conclusion of the book. Students are to select four supporting characters that impact the main character and chronicle specific thoughts, feelings or actions that describe the relationship between the main character and each supporting character. Students conclude this task by identifying specific quotes that provide evidence of their analysis.

Character Analysis Assessment: Character Letter w/graphic organizer
