You can use these documents to help your students plan and write a character analysis essay based on any piece of literature you are studying.
I used this with my sophomore English students to write a character analysis of Tom from the short story "Contents of the Dead Man's Pockets," which is why you'll see the name Tom appear in the graphic organizer. This is an editable document, so feel free to insert any character name you want, or leave it out and let your students fill it in.
In this product you'll receive:
-A graphic organizer for students to plot out their essays
-An outline/pre-writing form that you can let them use for an in-class essay or that comes in helpful writing an out-of-class essay
-A detailed rubric for ease of grading
This essay requires students to use textual evidence for support, which is aligned with CCSS.
