Description

Character Analysis can be a tricky concept for students. It is the ability for a reader to understand a character’s thoughts and feelings based on the setting, the character’s interactions with others, actions, words, and/or inner thoughts shared within a text. If you are looking for a tool to introduce this concept, enhance student understanding, or review, this is the perfect resource.

Included in this task card product:

• clear directions for immediate implementation

• notes for student understanding

• 32-character analysis task cards

• student answer document

• answer key for quick assessing

Estimated Lexile Measure: 1010

Helping students to better understand the characters in the stories they are reading will be so much easier after utilizing this teaching tool.

Utilize as a whole class scoot, within small groups, independent work, or in a literacy center. You students will be able to read each card to determine the feelings of the character while citing evidence to support their thoughts.
