All the work is done for you! This 25-day unit includes daily lesson plans, Common Core Aligned activities and worksheets that will help students identify direct and indirect character traits and cite evidence in their writing. This unit also includes three PowerPoint Presentations, a sample 'A' essay written in the Keyhole Design style and a writing rubric. The Unit is divided into three sections. First, students learn how to identify direct and indirect character traits by reading samples of informational text. Second, students read 'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' and identify the traits of the protagonist and how she evolves through these traits. And third, students write a character analysis essay. It's a lesson that will last year after year!
