Our digital footprint reveals much about us. Online music streaming services like Spotify can offer a glimpse into a character's state of mind. In this activity, students are asked to imagine what songs might show up on character's Spotify playlist at a given point in a story. Here, they will link to the song on YouTube so that the attributes of the song can be fully experienced when presenting their choices to the class. All choices must be reinforced by textual evidence and supported by reasoning. If you want to challenge your students to get more creative, delve deep into analysis and implement technology into their learning, this activity hits the mark.
