Here is a useful web to use with students when conducting a character analysis. Students are asked to fill out the center rectangle first by completing the sentence frame, "The traits that describe the character, [insert name here], are [insert trait #1] and [insert trait #2]." Then students should look for textual evidence to support their answer. Boxes include what does the character say, what does the character want, what does the character think about, how does the character look and what does the character do in the story.
