This graphic organizer is a must-have for the English classroom! The “Character Chart” features five categories: appearance, thoughts, actions, words, and other characters.
Within each category, I integrated my thought process in order to better assist students. For example: under the “thoughts” category, I identified the following subcategories: emotions, point of view, morals/ethics, inner monologue, flashbacks/memories, and personality traits/states. For each category, I highlighted useful English terminology.
There is also a place for students to identify textual evidence and the page number. In order to differentiate instruction, there are three versions included in your purchase: a chart with bullet points, a chart without bullet points, and a chart without bullet points and subcategories. Please view the thumbnails!
Teacher Tip: Printing multiple character charts into a packet works wonderfully with the jigsaw method! Each student can be the expert on a different character.
