Use this product to have students make connections between characters in a novel, short story, play, or any other piece of literature.
Students will identify defining characteristics of a specific character; then identify connections between all characters assigned to recognize how they are parts of the whole.
This product contains an introduction page, PowerPoint, printable puzzle piece, and 2 example images.
This activity could be used as a form of assessment if desired. An adaptation could be to have each individual student be responsible for listing characteristics and connections between all the characters instead of working in groups.
I typically use this activity on a "fun day" when the class periods may be shortened or the schedule shuffled.
(The PowerPoint can be edited to fit your classroom.)
