Character Education Development Craft! Have a class with a bad attitude? Use these cute "bee attitudes" to encourage them to have better behavior! The character words included are:
happy, generous, kind, thoughtful, respectful, encouraging, honest, responsible, compassionate, gracious, courageous, disciplined, positive, a good sport, brave, strong, smart, a friend, helpful, dependable, considerate, obedient, caring, fair and joyful.
At the bottom of each poster the children have to answer the question on how they could develop the character trait that they were given. Or I use these when I see that a class needs encouragement. I will have my speech students decorate the bees, put them on construction paper and then use washi tape to add a piece of candy. While we are decorating we talk about each word that the students have and how they could carry out their character trait on that day. We then take the crafts to the classroom that needs an uplift in their mood and they are left the written expression line to complete. These would make super cute bulletin boards for spring! Bee Happy!
Two posters are included: Bee Who You Are & Bee the Change
This would also be useful for guidance counselors during character awareness week!
