This PowerPoint directive lesson focus on the word EMPATHY. Students will learn about putting themselves in another person’s shoes, students will be more sensitive to what that person is experiencing and are less likely to tease or bully. By explicitly teaching students to be more conscious of other people’s feelings, it can create a more accepting and respectful school community. Lesson uses the book “Stand in My shoes” by Bob Somson to teach about empathy. YouTube read aloud linked.
