Students love skits and role-playing! This resource allows your students to help teach one another a very important character trait - perseverance - in a fun way!
Upper elementary students (3rd grade and up) can read this skit over the morning announcements or during an assembly for the whole school to enjoy. Students in kindergarten and up will enjoy and benefit from the skit. You can also use it with upper elementary students in small group and whole group classroom settings. Since students also enjoy adults role-playing, you might assign a reading part for yourself or even find other adults to read the skit with you for younger students. This resource is a great way to teach and reinforce a very important life skill and will also complement any character education program, student of the month program, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework.
Low prep! Simply print and make enough copies for each student (or adult) to have one in hand. Assign the parts. It also helps to highlight students’ parts so it is clear when it’s their turn to read. You might also give students the script in advance so they can read through it ahead of time.
