Character Gift Writing Activity

Perfect for thinking about character traits and engaging students in writing about a character, this assignment asks students to choose a favorite character from a recently read story and choose a gift to give to the character they choose. Students must then write a complete paragraph, explaining why they chose the character, gift, and how the character will feel after receiving the gift. This includes the assignment, ideas for use (including student examples and ides for a bulletin board), stationery, and a rubric for grading.
