This is a for two page menu-suggested to print and then double side copy. All you have to do is photo copy and fold-no stapling.
It's a fun graphic organizer in the form of a MENU- entitled, "The Perfect Fit Food Menu"
~Students choose a character from the book they are reading (independent or guided reading)
~Students must answer a higher-level question for describing the character that they chose and will provide evidence to support that character trait from the text. (COMMON CORE ALIGNED)
~ Students will DETERMINE what foods would work best for the character that they are inviting to their restaurant (appetizers, side dishes, main courses, desserts)
~Students will provide evidence as to why they chose that food to include on the menu
~Excellent for HIGHER-LEVEL comprehension, connect to characters
~The students will have to use what they know about the character to create appropriate food choices on their menus
~The students will find this very fun! I do this activity several times throughout the year and it is a BIG hit and promotes comprehension and inferences skills.
