The character sketch project is a fun and interesting way for students to analyze how authors develop believable characters in texts. As well as writing their own character sketch, students will learn about the two types of characterization (direct and indirect) and figurative language.
This project can be used as a midway or end of the unit assessment for a text and can be used with any
novel or short story.
