Description
This winter themed literary analysis activity can be used to conduct a character analysis from any text – short story, class novel, independent novel, play, movie, etc.
Students brainstorm significant items that relate to a specific character and choose an item to create a character snow globe that illustrates the significance of this item.
There are a variety of snow globe templates to choose from, and students are encouraged to get creative! Add glitter or cotton balls, the sky’s the limit!
The snow globe can be hand drawn, cut and paste from magazines, or completed digitally by copying and pasting images.
After completing the snow globe, students answer a series of questions about their interpretation of the significant item and how they chose to illustrate the significance.

Available in PDF and Google Slides. There is a link on page 3 of the PDF that will give you access to the Google Slides version of this resource. The link will ask you to make a copy to your own Google Drive to edit.
The Google Slides version has text box overlays on student handout pages for the activity to be completed digitally.
