Get to know the characters in the book a little better through character trading cards. Make copies of the next character cards on card stock for the students to fill out, color, and cut apart. Students write the name of the characters on the front banner and draw a picture of the character above it in the frame. On the back, they fill in the identifying "stats" about their character. After cutting apart the cards, they then fold each card on the dotted line and then glue or tape the backs together.
These are cards I made to use with several different units in my classroom, including The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, The Giver, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
