Although they can be used on their own, I designed these twelve flip books to complement my character trait posters. At our school we’ve been working to help students understand exactly what adults mean when we ask them to be--for example--“respectful” or “responsible.” The books (and matching posters) will help facilitate discussions about these important life skills, and serve as visual reminders of expectations at school.
The 12 traits are: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship (all corresponding to the Six Pillars of Character), Effort, Cooperation, Manners, Courage, Curiosity, and Safety. I've also added a bonus booklet for Ready to Learn.
Reinforce students’ learning of expected behavior by asking them to think about when, why, and how they can demonstrate desired character traits at school. If you don’t want to purchase the posters, you can brainstorm with your students to create an anchor chart with appropriate responses.
