Character Trait Swap
Character Trait Swap is a game played with the entire class.
Students line up facing one another and use their trait cards to talk about themselves, their opinions, an historic figure, or a literary character.
This high-interest activity can either be used as a stand-alone activity to help students use evidence to support claims or as a springboard for multi-genre writing assignments.
Variations of the game and extension assignments are included.
After each set is used, the word wall mini-posters will help students make claims (and support them with examples, stories, and quotations) about future fiction and non-fiction tasks.
