This resource has 52 character trait task cards that define the word and ask students to write about the word. It also has 52 cards that have scenarios for students to respond to and answer, so there are two cards per word: definition/writing and scenarios for students to respond with their thoughts and opinions. You can add onto this cards and do weekly units on different character education traits.
The set comes with both a complete color set and a complete grayscale (black and white) set to meet your printing needs.
Ways to use the cards:
BEFORE: These cards would be great as a bell ringer (before) activity.
DETENTION: If you have to hold detention, these cards would be an effective way to involve character education to help students recognize their errors and correct the behavior that landed them in detention.
IN-SCHOOL SUSPENSION: I know that I am so swamped when people ask for ISS work. These cards would be something easy to keep on hand to send students maybe for days where you do not have work readily available OR you're not doing anything written in class that you can easily send to ISS for students to do. Again, you can tie the card to the student's behavior that landed him/her in ISS, so it can act as a means of attempting to correct the negative behavior.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Use these in the classrooms for students to create their own ideas and scenarios where the lines are not necessarily black and white and have students debate the outcomes and reasoning.
