The only thing included in the file is the worksheet with the paper doll graphics. The rest is an example of how I used them in my classroom.
Students learn to use clues from their short stories (or novels) about the characters they are reading about. They use evidence from the sentences in the story to fill out the graphic organizer.
Group: Lessons began with the example of the bulletin board. We talked about characterization and made this our anchor.
Supported by small group: Next, we made our own paper dolls.
Independent: The students filled out the worksheet independently. I could see who understood the concept by who filled it in correctly.
