PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a collection of 50 animal photos matched with character trait words. They make great report card covers, and other classroom use ideas are included in the zip file. Each picture is a high quality, high resolution photo in JPG format, saved as 4 x 6 in 300 dpi. These 50 different photos with 50 different words are for a buyer's personal use only.

Vocabulary:
acquisitive, alert, beautiful, bouncy, brave, busy, calm, clever, colorful, comical, cooperative, cuddly, curious, cute, deliberate, dignified, discerning, elegant, eloquent, fancy, fierce, gentle, graceful, happy, intense, lively, loud, loveable, loyal, mischievous, nimble, noble, observant, patient, persistent, powerful, prepared, prickly, proud, quiet, regal, resourceful, rowdy, shy, smart, social, strong, swift, tough, wise

I made these originally as report card envelope covers. In my teaching past, I saved National Geographic animal photos and used them to decorate student report card envelopes. I matched an animal picture to some positive aspect of each student’s personality. The students always LOVED these photos and actually looked forward to getting their report cards!

I must admit that often I amused myself by thinking of negative words too…I mean, a duck (or a student) can be “lively” or “obnoxious” depending on which way you want to go! But I always kept those thoughts to myself and kept it positive.

All of these photos “face” the long side of a 6 x 9 envelope. For best results, print them in size 4 x 6 and laminate them for increased durability. If you desire larger prints for a different purpose, these 4 x 6 files can also be printed as 12 x 18 posters without losing any part of each photo.

There are several ways to print your photos:

• Print them yourself using photo paper or card stock.
• Transfer the images to a flash drive, then take them to be printed locally, like at Staples.
• Upload the digital files to an online venue such as Wal-Mart for printing.

I did a test batch at Wal-Mart and they are freakin' adorable!

Other uses for these photos include the following ideas:

• character traits study
• adjectives study
• synonyms and antonyms study
• compare and contrast writing
• creative writing prompts
• animal groups sort
• animal research reports
• word wall
• bulletin board display

I’d appreciate your purchase, your rating, and your feedback.

Thank you from The Brighter Rewriter!
