Here is a hands-on, creative way for students to practice identifying CHARACTER TRAITS.

Students will read a passage and then decide if the student should be given an award or detention slip based on their character traits. They will fill out the appropriate consequence or reward and list text evidence to support their statement. What kid wouldn't like to send another kid to detention, right?!

The best part is that teachers can also use the Detention Slips and Awards for other characters in other passages throughout the year!

Students will have a fun project to display, which is great for Bulletin Boards!
