In groups of 2-4 students will take turns picking a character trait card. And reading the passage aloud to their group. The student will describe the character on their card using a complete sentence using details from the story.
For example….My character is bossy because she tells the students in her class what to do.
The student will record their answer on their recording sheet under the number for the card they read. When done each student can turn in their recording sheet for accountability. You could give each group one recording sheet and a different marker for each student, or each person gets their own recording sheet and records only the ones they do.
Once answer is given, roll the dice and move piece on game board.
Alternative way to play: Scoot, each desk place one card and give each student one recording sheet. Students will rotate every minute or so depending on how much time they need. So each student will rotate clockwise around the room. They are to read the card at the desk they are at and complete recording sheet. Once the time is up then they move to the next desk and so on until time is up.
