-Students reflect on how they have changed, what caused them to change and relate this to how characters change.
2. All About The Main Character
-Students fill in information about the main character, including information about their family, friends, activities, obstacles and more!
3. Beliefs, Likes and Actions
-Students record the character's likes, beliefs and actions.
4. Look! It's ________
-Students draw a picture of their character using evidence from the story.
5. Character Comparison
-Students compare the main character to two secondary characters in a triple Venn Diagram.
6. Character Symbols
-Students pick three symbols that best represent the character and explain why.
7. Character Traits
-Students identify five character traits and mark whether the character posses that trait in the beginning, middle and/or end of the book.
8. Providing Evidence
-Students take the traits they identify and have to write evidence from the book supporting the trait and write the page number they found the evidence on.
9. What Others Say
-Students record what other characters say about the main character.
10. Story Mountain
-Students record what happens with the character in the beginning, middle and end of the story.
11. Relating to the Main Character
-The students share ways in which they are like the main character and ways in which they are different.
