The bulk of this product consists of 24 task cards with original paragraphs containing clues about each character's personality. The students must use those clues to make an inference about which trait best describes that character. The questions are posed in multiple choice format, but the students must provide a logical explanation of their choice on the record sheet provided or on the sheet with the paragraph. You can have the students then provide additional proof by highlighting all of the clues within the paragraph. I have also included a student writing activity which I used as a partner activity. My students created their own paragraph about a character they named, then switched with another student. It was a big hit! I have also included an anchor chart explaining the traits, an original graphic organizer so the students can compare and contrast a character with themselves and finally an answer key. These cards can be cut and laminated for use at centers or with a projector or smart board for whole class learning.
