Characteristics of Birds (Book Two)
There are 5 characteristics that all birds have. If an animal does not have all of these, it is not a bird. Although each characteristic is found in all birds, they may look different, and come in different sizes. All birds have feathers, wings, beaks, lay eggs, make nests, and have a skeleton. There are both male and female birds. Females lay eggs in a nest, and males guard the nest. When the baby birds are ready, they hatch.
