This is a 24 slide powerpoint covering the characteristics of gases and gas pressure: density, fluidity, compressibility. It includes practice with dimensional analysis. The last seven slides are review questions from the information presented in the slide. The content covered in this powerpoint is fairly basic; it's probably best suited for 7th - 9th grade physical science, although it could be used as a review/introduction in a chemistry class. The preview powerpoint is several pages so that you may assess the quality, but they are out of order, so they may not make much sense. :)
Do you find your students turn off their brain and just copy when you use powerpoints? I've found the best way to combat this phenomena is to have the main ideas come in one at a time. For that reason, you will find that my slides have simple, quick powerpoint "actions" so that each big idea comes up when you want it to, with a simple mouse click or tap on your interactive white board. None of the actions are over-powering or distracting so your lesson presents itself in a way that students will focus on the content.
