Students answer the following focus question: What were the main characteristics of U.S. industrialization in the late 1800s?
Students look through over 20 images and categorize them into 5 thematical categories in groups. (Categories could include immigration, inventions, transportation, urbanization, child labor, etc).
Students then reflect in a chunky paragraph on their groups categories and answer the focus question.
