Characteristics of Living Organisms interactive card sort activity. This set contains 9 pages of cards (4 per page) for a total of 36 different cards. These cards are great for review, rotations, partner work, or independent study for your tactile/kinesthetic learners. Included in this set is the following:
-8 category cards (ex. Prokaryote, Eukaryote, Multicellular, Unicellular, Asexual Reproduction, Sexual Reproduction, Autotroph, Heterotroph)
-8 definitions (one for each category card)
-20 different organisms to sort and categorize!
An answer key has also been included for reference.
Directions for Use:
1. Print out all pages and cut along dotted lines (cardstock or regular paper).
2. You may choose to laminate for durability.
3. Students will match each category card with its correct definition.
4. Once the definitions and categories have been paired, students will begin with an organism (ex. dog, monkey, bacteria, etc.) and determine if the organism is a Prokaryote or Eukaryote, Multicellular or Unicellular, Sexual or Asexual, and Heterotroph or Autotroph.
