Product Description
This bundle has 4 activities that provide practice or formative assessment for using three forms of the quadratic equation – the factored form, the vertex form, and the general form.

In each of these activities students are analyzing, interpreting, and justifying characteristics of parabolas.

You can see previews of these activities at the links below. By purchasing the bundle you save 9% over the cost of purchasing the activities separately.

Quadratics-Forms of Equations Card Sort
This is a set of 24 cards representing 8 quadratic equations expressed using three different forms: vertex, standard, and factored forms. Students match the graph to the equation and vertex.

Quadratics Graphic Organizer - Comparing Forms of Equations
In this organizer, students are analyzing the forms of the quadratic function for similarities and identifying key characteristics that are evident in the equations themselves.

Characteristics of Quadratics using Three Forms of Equations
In this activity students are finding four key characteristics of parabolas from three different equations. Each equation is written in a different format, factored form, vertex form, and general form. As students are identifying the characteristics they are analyzing the structure of the form of the equation and interpreting key elements.

Characteristics of Quadratics True False Card Sort
In this sort, students have 12 statements. They must decide if the statements are true or false. Students are determining key characteristics of quadratics in the exercise. Asking students to justify their choices and to “correct” the false statement would be a good way to increase the level of thinking required.
