This is a great chart to use over and over! Students can keep track of characters in a text using guided questions to help them gain a deeper understanding of a character's thoughts, actions, words, and appearance.
It is meant to be copied front-to-back, and kept in a binder. Students will be responsible for adding to it as needed throughout the reading. It might also come in handy as a study guide, or helpful in essay planning.
Also included is a character challenge worksheet that could be used for classwork, HW, or as a quiz. It asks the student to focus on one character, use a passage from the text, explain the context, and develop a thematic statement.
