Many students have difficulty with identifying and describing basic story grammar elements. Often they are unable to properly name the characters in a passage, or give any descriptive information about them. This visual support can be used to cue your students so that they remember how to determine who is a character, and what information they should include when discussing it. You can present this on a board for everyone to see, and/or print out for students to keep as a reference.
