PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this activity students draw a card and have to determine whether it is the characters of a story, the setting, the problem or solution of the story by looking for key words in the story card. This is a great literacy center activity or finished work activity. This activity comes with a graphic organizer that you can use for assessment or writing practice identifying the parts of a story. It also has an additional worksheet where students have to look at pictures cut and paste them into the correct categories- characters, setting, problem, solution. This is a great activity for a literacy center, teacher guided small group, or finished work activity. Print on card stock, laminate for durability, and begin using! Meets many common core standards and great for your early emergent readers because of the pictures. This can be used with higher K with teacher modeling, first grade, or second grade to reinforce these key concepts. Enjoy!
