Product Description
This lesson was a result of a furious debate among a group of my friends. It started one Friday night when a friend showed up with a new pair of ‘toms’ shoes and all hell broke loose…
This lesson brings up many questions about things that we take for granted as ‘good’ and positive.

This presentation contains a 32 slide PowerPoint lesson in editable PPT format with a work paper that accompanies the lesson.
It contains:
- Motives for giving to charity
- Research results regarding what makes us more likely to get involved
- The pros and cons of charities
- charities that are controversial
- The pros and cons of giving money to the homeless

This is an interesting topic, that will no doubt spark a great debate. I usually give this lesson before we embark on a yearly project of volunteering.
Check out my some of other debate lessons:

Lets (not) talk about money

printed Newspapers, have you seen one lately?

Censorship, what's the big deal?

I hope you enjoy this lesson

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BUYING THIS PRODUCT, PLEASE READ THIS:

The products in this shop are all produces by a dyslexic teacher (hence the name).
I’m painfully aware of the contradiction in my choice of profession, but I can honestly say (after 25 years of teaching ESL classes) that there’s nothing I’d rather be doing.
Much like other challenged individuals who go through life with one hand tied behind their backs, I make up for what I lack with abundant research, high quality graphics, humor, passion and love.
I own every ‘correcting program’ available on the market and my lessons are proof read by wonderful, kind (and slightly horrified) TPT teachers, BUT there are always some errors that slip by us.
If you feel offended by the existence of errors in what is supposed to be a teaching tool…
THEN THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU!
If you are an open minded individual, that can except the possibility that you might find errors in the product that you are about to buy (you get a free product if you send me the errors to correct), then this product is for you and I hope it delivers everything you hoped for and more, along with my gratitude.
