“The First Computer” features a cross-curricular and integrated history and reading lesson with material for geography and math as well. This no prep packet is great for sub plans or bell ringers and is just one lesson in a new series, called History Minutes.
This includes the story of Charles Babbage and his first attempts to build the world’s first computers. Using this reading students can complete a close note reading lesson with five parts, guided notes for those students who need more structure, a brief geography lesson on England, a math lesson on polynomials, and “Smart Scribbles” – a note taking format that allows students to doodle as they take notes. Answer keys are also included.
