Text-Dependent Analysis (TDA) questions challenge students to cite text evidence to support their answers. TDA questions are showing up more and more on standardized tests. They also encourage students to develop literary analysis skills.
This resource includes five text-dependent analysis questions for the short story, "Charles" by Shirley Jackson. The questions are written to meet various categories of the Common Core ELA Standards. Two versions of the worksheet and an answer key are included.
These questions can be used as text-dependent analysis practice, review, or assessment. Questions can be used individually or as a set.
