The 4 page culminating activity is a creative way for the students to recap their knowledge and understanding of the novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by ROALD DAHL.
Students will be able to give you information on the settings, characters, plot and about one of the novel themes.
It also includes a "design a Golden Ticket" section, as well as a vocabulary word/meaning match (answers included).
Also included are 3 crossword puzzles (answer sheets included).
Chapters 1-10, 11-23, and 24-30.
No numbers are included in the crossword puzzles. Letter clues are given instead.
To assist the students (specifically ESL or Special Ed. students) in completing the crossword puzzles there are 3 vocabulary sheets with their meanings. These could be studied prior to completing the crossword puzzles.
In addition, use some of these activities for Media Literacy, as the package contains a poster making sheet (poster rubric included), as well as a comic strip template.
Two acrostic template sheets are included as well.
One sheet has the word "Charlie", which will be great for a character sketch. The other acrostic template, "Golden Ticket" could be use to summarize the novel.
Great for a quick assessment too!
You have the flexibility to use each page of this resource at the same time or at different times of your novel study, depending what your lesson focus is. For example, if you are discussing settings and characters, just use page 1, and so on.
As an alternative, you can cut out each section/part of the resource and mount it on cardstock to use in Language centers, Literature Circles or Mobiles.
Great for Special Ed. and ESL students too, as it is easy to follow with definitions of each part of a story, setting, characters, plot, etc.
